Here is Rodney Hide's latest outburst about why he wants to mine wild New Zealand.
Mind you as the self-esposed "free enterprise " party, ACT must love the idea of a publicly listed company, Pike River, spending $200+ million of shareholders money to extract no more than $20 million of coal from under a National Park then going into receivership and being baled out by the tax payer!. The New Zealand taxpayers spearheaded by the NZ Police and the Conservation Department were then left with task of cleaning up the total mess left by this bankrupt company.
