Kirstie, I've just read your item on the F&B website about the latest Blue Wellington meeting in conjuction as it were with Green Drinks. I was wondering if there might be any possibility to do a similar initiative up here in Auckland seeing as the Green Drinks crowd have regualr meetings already - did the initiative down in Wellington come from you or them, and who could I start asking about the idea up here?
There might even be an opportunity to 'tie it in' with Reel Earth for example, (eg the film about butts or anything similar re marine pollution, especially relevant to an urban setting).

It's a case of asking Anne.
Blue Wellington is a Wellington branch project that meet's once a month over a beer or two. Green Drinks that moth were hosted by Forest & Bird - arranged via our NZAEE-F&B-KCC connection Jenny Lynch. As they use the same venue as Blue Wellington, we decided to do a combined event - more people, more networking.
What would be good - again to focus marine - is to start within the Central Auckland branch a Blue Auckland project. (That's one of our goals anyway - to develeop a model that can be replicated around the country.) Perhaps one for our university troops could take it on for F&B.
