Kokako were absent from the Waitakeres for over 60 years but F&B's Ark in the Park has brought them back through a project of bird transfers to a pest-controlled and fenceless mainland site. We are celebrating this achievement at Arataki Visitors Centre Waitakere on Sept 10th
Please let us know if you'd like to join us in this celebration. It is a family event running from 11.30-4.30, with speeches and formalities including a few words from Mayor Len Brown at 3.30.
