Thanks Em. On behalf of the staff down here, we're all safe and sound, but pretty shaken up (excuse bad pun). One of us had a very close encounter, but she escaped with her life, for which we're very grateful. we're thinking of all the other members too and hoping they and their friends and whanau are all ok.

That is great news that all the Christchurch F&B team is OK. All our condolences for every Forest and Bird member and every Christchurch resident who has suffered losses. Our thoughts are with you.

We're glad to hear that all Forest & Bird's North Canterbury branch committee members are safe. We have every finger crossed for all our members in Christchurch, and everyone else in this rather crumpled city.

If anyone in Cantebury F&B committee wants us to, we can send an email out to our members up here in Central Auckland (and I'm sure we'd have no trouble getting other local branches too) about whether they could provide accomodation to any Cantabrian committee members and KCC co-ordinators wanting it. Just get in touch via the Auckland F&B office or direct with the branch (for any hoax calls, we'll check your F&B membership if we don't know you personally....8-) )
