Climate Change spokesperson hits NZ

Yesterday, climate change expert & NASA scientist Dr James Hansen arrived in NZ. He warned US congress about climate change in 1988, and continues to do so.

He'll be touring the country in the next week as part of a lecture series that challenges governments to leave most of the remaining coal in the ground - or wreck the future of our grandchildren. Check him out!

Unfortunatly I had a headache on Wednesday when Dr Hanson came to the campus but over 1000 people attended which I found heartening. We have a local global warming denier called Jock Allison but fortunatly he didn't show up. Five lecture theatres were filled and loadspeakers broadcast his mesage all over the campus. I wasn't there in reality but I was there in spirit.
