Dog v SUV: a nice (readable) deconstruction

Anyway, it is difficult to say a dog has a bigger footprint than an SUV when SUVs vary so enormously in fuel efficiency and emissions (depends on size, age, model petrol or diesel and so on). A new, medium-sized diesel SUV would have lower emissions than many of the decrepit old Japanese imports that so many holier-than-thou conservationists get about in, trailing blue smoke behind them. I guess the dogs would vary enormously as well!
