Have your say on water

  1. In the coming weeks people will have the chance to make their voices heard to ensure the government adopts the recommendations of the Land and Water Forum’s report issued last month.

    Eight meetings to gather public feedback will be held in October and November and another seven are planned for February and March next year. The meetings will take place in the evening from 6pm until 9.30pm except for Auckland and Wellington where they will be held during the day.

    We will provide details of venues in each city when they become available on the “What’s on in your area” section of our website and they are expected to be on the Land and Water forum website http://www.landandwater.org.nz

    The meetings to be held this year are:
    October 20, Richmond
    October 27, Hastings
    October 28, Palmerston North
    November 1, New Plymouth
    November 12, Wellington
    November 18, Rotorua
    November 16, Auckland
    November 22, Hamilton

    The farmers in Australia are certainly having their say about water allocation plans for murray river!!
