for the good of the Nation, I think F&B should issue some kind of media release about how nasty hedgehogs are

We have hedgehogs in our garden. They can be a nuisance. I sometimes go to sleep with the window open because my room is damp and get disturbed by their rustling and grunting sounds. Last Wednesday I couldn't sleep because a neighbours dog disturbed by a hedgehog was barking hysterically and when I was in the shed one night one gave me the fright of my life by running across the shed floor and getting it head stuck in the rake. Any suggestions on how to control these pests?

Doc 200 traps. Use exactly the same bait as if targeting stoats, I.E, an egg.
They are far more prolific than most think, and I doubt that any ground nesting birds nest is safe from them.
