International island pest-control using poison

    Poisoning of rats on Sth Georgia. The poison sounds familiar, as does the way it's being applied. So it is being used extensively overseas as well, by the look.. Does this mean that the islands in the Hauraki Gulf weren't alone then in methodology of pest control?.
    As the guy quoted about this Sth Georgia operation says "I'm not going to pretend that it's a nice way to die but it's the way rats are killed worldwide and if you leave them the seabird chicks will suffer an even nastier death of being eaten alive,"
