A dotterel nest with eggs was found on a buiding site in downtown waterfront Auckland by the site construction people from Fletchers. Instead of ignoring the nest and kicking it away so it wouldn't delay buiding plans, they brought in an ecologist and then put a no-go zone round the nest until the eggs hatched, and then a three-week period until the chicks got big enough, Well done Fletchers I say - and haven't some staff come a long way in some regards?
