Craig Potton's Rivers series kicks off on Prime TV tonight (Sunday) at 7.30 with the magnificent Clutha. Craig is too much of a conservationist to make a TV series about just pretty scenery. He gets across lots of good messages about how we could do a better job of looking after our rivers.

The first programme on the Clutha was great. The photography is fantastic. The variety of people interviewed is fascinating and Craig doesn't pull any punches and shows a great love of the river.
Sue Maturin of Forest and Bird interviewed particularly well and gave a great plea for the Nevis River to run wild and free.
Well done Craig. Next week is the Mokihinui and this programme on Prime at 7.30pm next Sunday is a must see.

Brilliant Rivers episode on the Mokihinui tonight. I was impressed with the strength of Craig Potton's messages about protecting this wild river from a proposed 85-metre-high dam. Forest & Bird field officer Debs Martin spoke quietly and with conviction about all the native animals and plants that could disappear if Meridian's dam goes ahead. Scientist Mike Joy explained how perilous life is for eels and native fish in NZ - and how much worse it will be if they don't have the Mokihinui.
How can we let a dam go ahead on this beautiful river?Posted 1 year ago # -
