I was typing up a list of the F&B reserves in the Auckland Region to go into our F&B branch's newsletter last evening, and realised that a lot of members don't seem to know much about the reserves and F&B lodges available to visit or stay at in areas outside of their own branch. So this is just a reminder that with summer fast approaching there's lots of reserves to visit, and to tell others about them too. There's good information available on this website about locations, how to get to reserves, and what you'll likely see there.

Encouraging people out to visit our reserves and stay at our lodges, especially the new lodge at Ruapehu in summer, is a great way to get people out into nature to experience what this conservation lark is all about. Argues against the criticism we've probably all heard that conservation is all about locking land up and throwing the key away. And no way better to educate people about nature than for them to experience it first-hand.
