Wow fernbird in the vege garden - that's new!! Is your garden near a river/wetland or reserve with dense shrush? Apparently they live anywhere with very dense vegetation and that's how cats etc can't get at them!

Yep, there's A wet land not far and heaps of kumarahoe, Manuka, and big old bush in the guts. I have started traping and baiting (50hectares) and got a wild cat last night!
